Alan and Karen made the whole process very easy and quick for me. They provided lots of help and advice along the way and even managed to help book a specific delivery date for me. Really can’t fault the service provided. Absolutely fantastic…and a great product to suit! Thank you Karen and Alan.

PS - for anyone else out there looking at purchasing from Lawsons, I 100% recommend. My experience shows they have great people who really do try to help customers.

"Hi Lawsons team, I recently ordered some Medite mdf from Lawsons and just wanted to say how impressed I was with the staff at the Camden branch in London. I'd been struggling to find this kind of fire-rated MDF. The guys I spoke with - Eugene, Michael and Peter were really helpful and friendly. This isn't always the case with builders' merchants. So I thought that it deserved a thank you. Thank you! Keep up the good work - It doesn't go unnoticed. "

"Hi, a short message to say a big big thank you to Mac who took my order for fence panels over the phone on Friday morning and was able to guarantee delivery the following day (by 12:00pm). Thank you also to the guy that delivered the fence panels (before the 12:00pm deadline) who was very polite and helpful. My boyfriend and I removed the old panels and had the new ones in place within 20 minutes after delivery...a great mornings work. Dear Sir/Madam,

On Friday 23rd of April I had 15, 2.4m sleepers delivered. I expected a curb side delivery. However, your driver Andy was worried I wouldn’t manage to move them all on my own and they might get stolen if left in the drive. He only had one delivery left to do that day then he was finished. Keeping in mind it was Friday many would want to head off as soon as they could.

However, Andy in his own time carried each sleeper down the 18 metre drive and into the back garden without me asking. He wouldn’t even take a tip I offered to buy himself a drink with. It is this kind of service which means I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your company or use its services again.

Please let Andy know I have informed you that he went beyond the call of duty as I think he deserves a “Thank you” at the very least.

"Just some feedback - My brother will be starting a job in Edgware directly opposite your branch in a couple of weeks and travelling down from Northampton, I said I will call Lawsons to get a quote because it might be easier than trying to sort out via Jewson or Travis because of the location distance from your depot.

I was really impressed with the person I spoke with who was called Peter, clear with the prices, nothing was too hard and the quote was sent before the phone was put down. Quote ended up around £1k which will grow a bit and I feel Peter deserves to get the material order just for his customer service."

"Just thought I would send a note to you about how good the service was from the Crawley Branch.

In previous attempts to purchase from building supply companies I often feel somewhat anxious as I really have a limited knowledge of what to buy, what is current and how to complete some DIY jobs.

I popped into the store on Saturday and mentioned what I wanted, the service guy helped me decide what I needed and although I couldn’t have the items cut that day I could call in on Monday, place the order and have it cut to size; there and then.

I was busy on Monday so phoned through my order, which was taken well, the guy clearly knew what I was asking for and took the payment easily. I arranged to collect my order on the Tuesday (today). I popped in as I said I would (over my lunch time), the guy in the yard quickly dealt with my order and I was sorted and on my way in minutes.

I didn’t at any point feel like a useless DIYer and I came away with what I needed. Up until now I have always done the safe thing and head to Retail DIY stores, not anymore."
